What’s Included in Our Spay & Neuter Services
We provide comprehensive care for healthy dogs and cats, which includes:
- A pre-anesthetic physical examination
- Isoflurane gas anesthesia
- Circulating warm air heating blanket during surgery
- Pre- and post-operative pain management
- Continuous anesthesia monitoring
- Detailed at-home aftercare instructions
- Follow-up care if needed
Pre-anesthetic bloodwork and IV fluids are strongly recommended to further enhance safety and support your pet’s recovery. These options are available at a reasonable cost.
Vaccination & Health Requirements
To ensure the health and safety of all pets undergoing surgery:
- Dogs must be current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
- Cats must be current on Rabies and FVRCP
- All pets should be dewormed prior to surgery
- Puppies and kittens must have completed their initial vaccination series (typically 3–4 boosters)
Please provide proof of vaccination before your pet's scheduled surgery. If needed, we can contact your previous veterinary clinic for records. Not sure about your pet’s vaccination status? We’re happy to help you review it in advance.
If your pet has fleas, flea treatment will be administered at the time of surgery for an additional fee.
Conditions That May Require Additional Evaluation
Some pets may require extra care and monitoring due to certain health factors or life stages. These include pets who are:
- In heat
- Obese
- Have had multiple litters or heat cycles
- Experiencing infections or skin conditions
Our veterinarian will assess your pet individually and determine the safest approach to surgery. A custom surgical plan and estimate will be provided if any special considerations apply.
Additional medical or grooming services may be available on the day of surgery. Please refer to our Pre-Surgery Information Sheet for more details.
